When Do You Open Christmas Gifts In Your House?
Everyone runs a little bit different. I know of some who do it at midnight on Christmas Eve (when Christmas technically starts), some do it on Christmas morning, and I know some who do it on Christmas evening.

We always open gifts on Christmas Eve. It’s just not the same during the day time. Then on Christmas Day, there are the Santa gifts, stockings, and dinner.

We open gifts in the morning on Christmas Day. We will open one present on Christmas Eve just to sort of get the kids through the night. We have found it helps them fall asleep sooner because they got to have one gift. Then we open presents at the grandparents house when we visit later in the day. But, yeah, everything mainly happens on Christmas Day. Santa has to come on Christmas Eve.. ^.~

We do gifts on Christmas Eve after dinner. This started when I was a child, I don’t remember doing it any other way. Christmas morning was for Santa’s presents. My mom always said that it was because I couldn’t wait, but please, I was a child and she was the adult. I think she’s the one that couldn’t wait.

My birthday is Christmas day, my family opened gifts on Christmas Eve after family dinner, then stockings in the morning, and birthday gifts after Christmas dinner.
After we all grew up, the celebration was on various different days due to work schedules and needs of in-laws. A couple of times it was on New Years!!

as soon as we get up we go get our stockings, after that we exchange gifts between me, my bro, my sis, and my parents. then we eat breakfast and get stuff up together. and we go to my granny’s house. after we eat lunch (which is more like dinner), we exchange gifts between us and my grandparents and 2 aunts and uncle. then we go home around 9 and snuggle with hot chocolate.
then on new years eve we go to my other aunt and uncles house and celebrate with my other grandparents and cousins. i’m 16 and we’ve been doing that since i was born.

My kids will get us up at an ungodly early hour on Christmas morning. We will get our coffee and try to wake up a little while the kids bounce off the walls with excitement. Then we will all sit down and open gifts from our immediate family. Later, we will get together with extended family and open more gifts on Christmas afternoon.

When I was a kid, we always opened presents on Christmas Eve, we never waited til midnight though, just Christmas Eve. And then we’d go over to my aunt’s house and while we were gone Santa always came. 🙂 Then we got to spend all Christmas day playing with our new toys.

Me and my husband get up at about 8 on christmas morning, and make sure everything is ready. At nine we go wake up the girls. They brush their teeth and I pull there hair back, then they run downstairs to see all these presents under the tree. It takes about an hour to open them all since we did it one by one.

Christmas morning. Then my aunt and uncle come over, we exchange those gifts, then we eat a HUGE breakfast. Then we go over my grandparents house and exchange gifts with them and my other aunt and uncle. Then a few days after Christmas, my grandparents from up north come down, and we exchange gifts with them.
Sorry if this is confusing.

We get up on Christmas Day, and when everyone’s up, my brother and I get the 2-3 small gifts under our own trees (on our dressers) from Santa and go to our parent’s room and open them. Then we go to the living room and open all the Santa gifts. We open the rest over the 12 days of Christmas.

We open gifts on Christmas Day. My brother and I get the 2-3 gifts under our trees on our dresser and go to our parent’s room to open them. Then we all go to the living room and open the other Santa gifts. Then we have breakfast. We open the rest over the 12 days pf Christmas starting with gifts from family and ending with stockings. Also, every time we open, everyone gets 1 wrapped gift from their stocking to open.
