How many days after New Years day, should one stop wishing others a “happy New Year?”?

There is a big build up to the New years day. Countdown, TV shows, News about new year and such.. Once the new year comes, we go back to work or school. How many more days should we continue to greet people with a “Happy New Year”? the 5th of Jan? the 10th? the 15th? Or is it all month long? Well Chinese new year comes in Feb. So we can switch to Gung Hay Fat choy in Feb?

    Just stop after the 5th it’s best at this point because many
    have already grown out of that “New Years Spirit” so I’d
    say to the 3rd or 5th and after that if you continue you are
    officially become an annoyance to society…
