I spread my shopping out all year for financial reasons. It is too hard to go out one weekend and spend hundreds of dollars for us, so we space it out…especially after Christmas…like last year I bought a bunch of things that went clearance and cheap that I knew people would like and not need to return….I store these items in a tote all year and then come November I take an inventory of sorts and write down what is left to buy. It helps me not feel too overwhelmed too.

I love the traffic and the crowds after Thanksgiving. I don’t know why it just puts me in the Holiday mood so much more.
However, no one else in my family likes the crowds at all! So…. that means I do all shopping before Thanksgiving and then I pick up a few extra things that o on sale during the Holiday Bustle. I kinda drag my hubby out that time of year for at least 1 day. lol

I’ve found that having a Christmas club account at my bank helps me out. I can put money aside, and get a check in October. That way I’ve earned some interest, and I can push myself through the holiday season because I have cash.
But, in strict response to your question… usually mid-November, then last-ditch rush the week before Christmas.

Anytime between Boxing Day and the day before Christmas Eve.
If you do leave it til Christmas Eve, start in the morning not half an hour before the shops are due to close. And don’t take it for granted that shop assistants don’t have a home to go to.

I start before Halloween because I cannot afford to get it all in one month. But I have gotten things at end of the year sales for next year also. Just depends on what I find.

I think right about now is a good time. It’s close enough to Christmas that you know what people want. Try looking out for sales. This way you won’t get caught in the crazy buying rush.

NOW! Who says wait until the day after Thanksgiving to shop? I always find good deals year round. Last year, I bought a sweatshirt for my fiance’s niece. It was February, so I had to hold on to that sweatshirt for 10 months but I got it at such a good price!

I start buying things in October but do the main stuff in December, I am lucky that I can go to the shops during the week when they are quieter. I like the atmosphere in the Shopping Centres around Christmas time plus children change their mind about what they are going to ask Father Christmas for so I wait until they have done their letter to Santa and only buy adult presents early

I would go whenever you find out what you are wanting to buy i would firstly run up a list of present thta people want and search the internet to find the best prices i would then if you can reserve the items so you can definately get them at a low price i would then go down whenever you can but knowing your items are reserved and som there is not as much hassle
hope this helps merry christmas

I generally don’t start my Christmas shopping until December, but sometimes I see something that I really want to buy for someone earlier so I’ll pick it up. But I don’t go specifically searching for gifts before December.
As for the Christmas shopping traffic, I love it! I know a lot of people hate it but to me it just gets me in the mood. But, that said, I generally go shopping for something specific in mind. I think if I went just to look and see what I could find, I’d be more annoyed by all the people getting in my way.

Well the biggest Christmas shopping day of the year is the day after Thanksgiving….there’s lots of sales going on although there are people everywhere!!!
