Some stores will not wait til the Friday after Thanksgiving– they’ll have the sales on Thanksgiving day. Mervyns is going out of business so they already have markdowns of 50-75%. Mervyns is essentially getting rid of their merchandise and will not be ordering more items.The markdowns vary from store to store (30-50% and even more). OTOH, stores like Macy’s are expensive so 30% off might still be pricey. OTOH, Macy’s does have very nice clothes.
