Is it worth it to delay my trip to hong kong so it coincides with the chinese new year?
So yeah, the chinese new year is on february 15th. Will my visit be substantially better with all the festivities? Will the prices of accommodation dining etc.. go up during that time?
Please help.

I am living in hongkong. During chinese new year most of the hong kong ppl traveled aboard. I think maybe you don’t have to worry about if the street is crowed with ppl. For the dinning price, surely it will go up by 10-15%, depends on where you go. Hope this help.

Yes, and yes.
It’s definitely worth it. But be careful, Chinese tend to be with the family during the New Year, so you can find yourself quite lonely.
And prices go up, simply because nobody wants to work during the New Year, and if you want to buy any services, you pay more than usual.
