How early should I go to wait in line at Best Buy for the Black Friday deals?
I really want this computer on sale. I live in a city of 252,000 people, with 2 main Best Buy stores. How early should I go?
There is a 15-per-store minimum, too (on this computer).

You probably need to camp out, depending on how good the deal is. I’m sure there will be people there at midnight, so you won’t be alone. Then in the morning, Best Buy usually will give numbers out to the people waiting in line, so there isn’t a rush on the store (at least they did with Wiis). When they say the limit is 15, that means that’s the most they will get, it might be less.

I always camp outside of Best Buy for the deals on Black Friday. Last year, I was trying to get the computer and I went at 12 midnight Thanksgiving day. I didnt get the computer. The ad says 15 minimum so that means theyll have at least 15, but they may have a few more. The first people in line last year said they stood outside since 5pm on thanksgiving day. Best buy starts passing out papers for products at 3am and when theyre gone, theyre gone. Be there on thanksgiving day. Im looking for that same computer package. Good luck!!

I sell computer technology for a living and have done so for a long time. There is not a computer on the planet, Apple or Microsoft based, that I would stand in line for. The “deals” that you will find, are often on outdated technology, and may not have many of the features that you will really would want. If you go and talk to somebody in the business, you will find that computers are not that expensive before, during, or after Turkey day.

I asked the sales rep at the bestbuy near me this question. They first started laughing and then replied, “the sales associates come in at 2:30am. By then, the line are already 4 stores down.” I would estimate…more than 100 ppl waiting. They advised me to eat my Turkey dinner then hurry over.
