For chinese people – is it ok to visit the dentist during chinese new year?

For chinese there are a number of things you traditionally shouldnt do during the 2 weeks of chinese new year – sweeping the house, having your hair cut, saying certain words/phrases etc.
So for those who know extensively about chinese new year superstitions, is it ok to have a clean at the dentist during this period?
