Does anyone know of a Christmas program to help get my son gifts?
I am looking for a program that will help me get my son some Christmas gifts. We don’t have the money to go out and buy him gifts. We barley have enough to cover our bills. I feel so horrible for this but due to my high risk pregnancy and my husband attending college full time we had to go on a fixed income through the state. We reside in Athens, Ohio that is in Athens County. If anyone could help me find this I would be truly blessed thanks alot ~Crystal

Try Toys for Tots. You need to sign up for it, but it will help. Good Luck

Call your county social services department to see if there are any programs. also, in my area the salvation army gives toys to needy families. You might be too late to sign up, though. Usually they take names in October. Also, there is a site called Wish Upon a Hero where you can list your wishes and sometimes other people grant them.

Salvation Army, Toys for Tots, Catholic Charities are a few I can think of. I would also check with your local police department. In houston there is a program with the police department. I would start calling around to charities as soon as possible. Due to the economic situation these programs are really filling up.

There is a program called the angel tree(or sometimes called the giving tree) that usually takes place at most churches. Most large churches (any religion) have somthing like that.
Good luck. God bless. I will say a little prayer that you find something.
