Stores usually have at least some sale items all day long but the good deals are usually referred to as Door Buster Deals and last from opening to between 11 am and 1 pm. But honestly, you really have to be one of the first people in line to get anything worth going for. And its also a really good idea to avoid the mall entirely. For example, I get in line at Kohl’s at 1:45 am to be one of the first in line for the 4 am opening. By 4:15, the store is so packed you can’t even move (let alone shop) and the line for the check out lanes wraps literally around the entire store. At the mall, you won’t be able to get anywhere fast enough. And if you don’t get there within the first hour of opening (at the very latest), you won’t get anything anyway.

Depends on where you’re shopping.
If you’re going to somewhere big like Wal-Mart or Best Buy, the best time to get there is around 2am. I went to Best Buy last year at 3am and the line was wrapped around the store.

Amazon open their Black Friday sales at Monday Nov 23. Here they said:
“You shouldn’t have to stand in a long line to get a great deal. We’re searching for the best Black Friday deals everywhere–including deals other stores are planning–so we can meet or beat their prices and bring them to you even earlier. These limited-supply offers will go quickly but we’ll add new ones throughout the day, every day this week, so you can skip the long lines and still save a bundle”

The really big deals come in limited quanitities and people will be camping out and fighting viciously for them when they’re released (sometimes as early as 4am!!) The earlier you get there is probably better to have a better selection. You can also do some shopping online – Black Friday deals are valid online as well as in store and sometimes you can even find online exclusives that won’t be available in the stores. I run a shopping website and every time this year I work around the clock detailing all the offers, when they’ll be available and providing links to them. Have a look at my site if you want links to the shops themselves – that is the best way to find out. I’ll leave my site in the source for you.

The best deals are early Friday morning from about 5 and end at 11. Most of the “door busters” will be gone shortly after 6 or 7 am in most stores. Don’t get discouraged though, there still are tons of available deals Friday and Saturday.
Be prepared for mass chaos!
Good luck!

My next door neighbor works at Best Buy and told me that people usually get
there around 6pm the night before. I’m going this year, and I’m planning on
going around 4pm.
The last time I waited out at Circuit City I got there around 10pm, and would
have had my laptop but the people in the front of the line had so many of
their friends cut in line later in the morning that I got pushed from like
10th in line to 20+ and didn’t get it.
Thus, don’t go to the stores it’s to crazy you waste hours in line, just shop
online, they have the same deals without the crowds, just have a look at the

Black Friday is on the same day every year-the day after Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday of November.
Someone doesn’t go shopping on Black Friday because it is way too busy. And they hold off Electronics purchases until after Thanksgiving.
Howeve, I plan to buy gift before black friday, I think the price will drop dramatically the same as in christmas.

If anyone is interested i recently came across a Black Friday Gift Poll where you can just give your opinion as a yes or no. And in return you will be given the chance to receive a game console of your choice and the modern warfare game.

Check out http://blackfridaybestbuy2009.wordpress.com/. It says that Black Friday’s really just the START of the pre-holiday shopping season. So the deals will probably be on offer at some stores for a week or so.
The only thing is, of course, that all of the big-ticket items – like super-cheap computers and electrical equipment – will have run out by then.
