Walmart stores will be open 24 hours before sales start to prevent crowds from gathering outside. Sale start a 5 am. To make sure you get what you want you should get their 3 hours before sale starts.

I read at http://blackfridaybestbuy2009.wordpress.com that even though Walmart is open 24 hours, people will still turn up super-duper early to pick up the bargain of their dreams. It depends on what you’re buying I think… If all you want are a few DVDs and some clothes, well, they’ll have those there all the time and will have them restocked by the morning.
But if you want to buy some kind of big ticket item, such as electrical or computer goods that have been knocked by several hundred dollars, then you’ll probably need to be there from the crack of dawn to grab them before someone else does!
