    Don’t punk out.
It’s easy to give up and takes effort and determination to uphold and to fulfill a promise of a resolution to ones self.

So far I have ever only made one that I kept. Many years ago I resolved to never make any more New Years resolutions.

Write your goals on index cards… and then, on each index card, list the steps necessary for you to achieve those goals. Then, keep them in a card file, in priority number… and plot the steps you’re going to take on a calendar. Then just do it.

No idea how that works.. I read about that on the Internet and it looked doable.

I’ll let you know in a year how it well this worked.

Make only one New Years resolution and stick to it.
Another way you can change your life is to set a new goal for each month. Work on it for that entire month. It will become a comfortable habit in 30 days.

I run a website about making and keeping positive lifestyle promises. You can get lots of ideas there. http://www.promiseaid.com where you can join support clubs for personal development and making a difference.

Here are my top new years resolution tips

    1. Write your goals down and track your progress
    2. Share your resolution with friends and family – Get them to motivate you.
    3. Set SMART goals. Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and timely.
    4. Create a vision board – draw a picture of where you’d like to be in 5/10 years including your journey there.
    5. Be persistant and don’t give up easily. If things don’t go too well, review and start over.
