Ginger-Soy-Lime Marinated Shrimp
2 large shallots, peeled and chopped
1 (2-inch) piece fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
4 cloves garlic, smashed
3/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup peanut oil
1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
2 pounds large shrimp, shells and tails on
Place shallots, ginger, garlic, soy, lime juice, and sugar in a blender and blend until smooth. Add the green onion and oil and blend until combined. Season with black pepper, to taste. Place shrimp in a large bowl, pour the marinade over, and let marinate at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Preheat a grill to high. Remove shrimp from the marinade and grill for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes per side. Serve on brown paper bags, if desired.

Get some peeled and deveined shrimp. Marinate them in Italian dressing for about 10 minutes. Skewer or put on a grill pan for about 3 minutes per side.
Another really easy one is clams. Throw them on the bbq until they open up. Serve with butter or if you want to get a little fancier try this. In a blender mix up the juice of 2 lemons, a handful of fresh cilantro, salt, pepper and a few pinches of red chili flakes. Pour in olive oil until you get a thin dip consistency.
You can also grill some bread. My family loved real grilled cheese. Grill on one side, then turn over. Top with your favorite sharp cheese and jam. I like a nice gorgonzola. Mix this with some strawberry jam. I would say about 2 parts of gorgonzola to 1 part jam. Let it get hot and bubbly, but let them cool slightly before you eat them, it’s really hot.
Another great thing is grilled chorizo. Slice it on the bias and throw it on the grill until it gets nice and hot and some of the fat cooks out.
My final suggestion would be grilled ham steaks. Get a really thick ham steak and grill on one side. Turn and top with an equal mixture of mustard and brown sugar. Cook until the mixture makes a crust on top.
