Mommies when do you start buying Christmas gifts?

I just brought my daughter a small toy that i know she is going to love it dances around and it gives out like a bunch of lights. And i also got her two outfits.
I found them on sale so i figure out to go ahead and get them.

Anyways….

I usually do my Christmas shopping on black Friday.

When do you start buying Christmas gifts??

Glad to hear that I’m not the only mom thinking about Christmas. 🙂

The beginning of December, most of the time. I always tell myself that I’ll get it done earlier but I never do.

We don’t have Black Friday. I only heard of it last year on some crime show.

Here the department stores have huge stocktakes sales in July and allow layby til Christmas. I layby most of it then, and just buy a few odds and ends when I see them.

    Throughout the year.

If I see something that I know someone will love, I’ll pick it up and store it until either their birthday or Christmas, whichever comes first. Especially if it’s on sale lol

Throughout the year shopping just makes Christmas shopping so much less stressful since it’s only small amounts of money here and there rather than one bulk amount a few months before Christmas.

I’m a Christmas nut- I usually start shopping for Christmas presents on boxing day!
Christmas is an all year event here, I buy at least one Christmas present a week all year long. Not all of the presents I buy are for my friends and family, we give a lot to the charities that provide gifts for the children of disadvantaged families.
I tend not to buy presents in the part of December before Christmas, I like to buy stuff to make up food hampers for my local charities, just so that they have more to give to people who might not otherwise have a Christmas.

I started this summer. I NEVER have done that before this year but for some reason I’ve been thinking about gifts lately. I got a few things for my son this summer because I had coupons at toys r us and a big store credit because we returned a recalled crib. today I got him something that I *want* to give him for christmas but I might cave before that…that’s the problem with shopping ahead of time!

so far, I’ve gotten him a ball pit/tent system thing that’s going to be so awesome, a train, a little tool bench, and some slippers that look like monster feet. we’re also redoing a room for him so that he has his OWN room, so that’ll be the rest of his gift. I hate crowds so beating them has been my main priority…it’s also a lot easier to spend a bit here and a bit there then feel like I have to be thrifty after thanksgiving.

I have already started buying things and intend to be done by November 1st.
Mostly because I’m due November 14th! I highly doubt I’ll want to be shopping with a brand new baby anytime in November or December. So getting it out of the way now is a huge relief.

We’ll probably start after Emmas first birthday (which is oct. 14th).

Once November hits, it’s pretty safe to say December comes in the blink of an eye.

I like xmas shopping early. Trying to manage all those crowds is insane!!!

my husband gets his yearly profit share check from work soon, and im about to get a financial aid check from school so when those come in we will be doing our shopping!! the sooner the better in my opinion, lol

our daughter will only be 9 months, and she needs clothes so the poor kid is gonna be getting clothes and shoes from us, lol

but from santa she will be getting a few neat toys!

I shop all year long. I have 5 children and 1 on the way. Plus a dog, parents, in-laws, grandparents, cousins, etc… If I don’t shop all year long with sales, I’d never be able to afford Christmas and still be able to keep our lifestyle.

MOST of the big gifts are bought on Black Friday. The electronics, big toys, etc..

Not until November, I have to get Halloween out of the way before I start thinking Christmas!
