Is there any good New Year celebration around North Carolina?

I live in the Piedmont Triad and was wondering if there will any good New Year celebration nearby, I don’t know, fireworks or something. I’m thinking about Raleigh or Charlotte, but I’ve never been there on the 31st. Anybody from the area knows about a nice event?

    both cities have streetfests for new years eve…..i recommend the one in raleigh though
