I been seeing stories about the upcoming day after Thanksgiving Day sales .?
Does anyone think that Wal-Mart or other retailers have learned from last years death from the store employee, or it will continue to be a stampede into the stores again? I personally wish they would do away with those sales.

The day after Thanksgiving starts the shopping frenzy for the gift giving holidays. It is the second largest retail shopping weekend of the year – at least in the US. The largest paper newspaper of the year is also delivered that weekend. Wal-Mart has changed their policy in that they’re just going to stay open Thursday night so no lines form for Friday.
Black Friday makes too much money to be abolished. Have you seen all the on-line ads? Black Friday, itself, is the largest retail shopping day of the year in the US.

It’s not the stores to be blamed. It’s the crazy ass people doing the trampling. Some people just aren’t civil; they act like they were raised in a cave. Crazy people and the dangerous driving is why I don’t participate in this shopping day (that and everywhere I go is already out of what I want). I do feel sorry for the people who have to work that day tho.

Oh Honey I remember that poor man that got trampled on.How sad this time of year must be for his family ! And you are so right maybe they should do away with it.It’s not just that but so many people drag their hungry and sleepy children all over the place and people are pushing and shoving.

WalMart is changing its ways so it is open 24 hours and you don’t wait outside and speed in. You just walk in and get your stuff- no trampling at all.
And I understand if your rich and all, but this is a tuff time for all people. This day saves thousands of dollars for some people. Some people would not get presents if it was not for this day. They better keep this day, and if you don’t like it- STAY HOME. Don’t ruin this for other people.
