How long after Thanksgiving can I eat and keep my tukey?

I got a free turkey from work 2 days before Thanksgiving and cooked it the next day. It was and stil is tastey. Do I have to get rid of it now?

If you are careful to keep it in the refrigerator, it probably will be good long after you are tired of it.

So long as its “properly” refrigerated it lasts a long time. Just use the old smell test.

If you still have turkey from Thanksgiving dude, you should definitely not be eating it anymore. I have a strong immune system, but I’m not sure I could handle eating something that old! In most counties, restaurants are required to throw away anything that is older than 7 days in the refrigerator. Now that doesn’t mean it’s bad, necessarily, but does give you an idea. I generally practice the same time frame at home. Although, if it’s been the freezer, it should be fine for up to 3 months or more.
