I want to be sure so I can save up my money to buy one if they are on sale.

I have never seen then on sale. The cheapest place I have seen is Costco. But even they only sell them for a few dollars less then the Apple Store. Your best bet for less of a price is EBay. There you can get new and used ones.

I doubt it. They usually go on sale for the Christmas season.
